Carnival Poncho/Skirt

Carnival poncho as a skirtThe Carnival poncho may be made as short or as long as you want.  It can also double as a fun skirt, which makes it a great item to take on a trip. Dimensions as shown, 16" long, 28" around neck, 90" around bottom.
Pattern Price: $ 6.00

You'll need:
Yarn: Plymouth Carnivala, Color 254, four 50-gram balls (93 yds each)  AND Plymouth Eros, Color 3257, three 50-gram balls (165 yds each).  Note: very little of the third ball of Eros was used, so if your poncho is a little bit smaller than the model, you might need only two balls. If you want your poncho to be larger, add another ball of Carnivala, but the 3 balls of Eros should be sufficient.
Hooks: N-15 (10mm) and 13.5mm. The 13.5 mm hook is a special “in-between size” rug hook that may be ordered from William Schmidt at Gauge isn’t too critical for this garment. If you do not have a 13.5mm hook, switching to a commercial 15 or 16mm hook will not make a great deal of difference. If you wear a small size, you might want to use a P-16 (11.5mm) as your larger hook.
Stitches: Chain, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitch, and V stitch.  .V Stitch is used just to start, and is explained in the pattern.
